Alternating Air Wheelchair Cushion and Pump System - Chair-Air™ Model 9700CAF
Chair-Air™ alternating pressure wheelchair cushion has four individual bladders that alternate to provide superior pressure redistribution for the prevention and treatment of stages I-IV pressure ulcers. The unique molded design with slight abductor pommel, stabilizes the hips and keeps the patient in proper mid-line alignment. The zippered non-skid, stretch-knit cover is anti-microbial and fire-retardant. The cover is easy to clean with a simple 8% bleach/water solution. The Chair-Air™ 9700CAF includes the Chair-Air™ 9701 AC/DC alternating pump. The 18 x 16 cushion Supports 250 lbs.
Pressure ulcers can occur when the interface pressure between the skin and the seating surface prevent proper blood flow. Four alternating pressure 3.5" bladders gently alternate to lower interface pressures in addition to comfortably supporting the patient. The bladders provide proper seating comfort, pressure redistribution and support where it is needed most.
The portable Chair-Air™ AC/DC Pump allows your patient to be totally mobile. This makes it perfect for use during dialysis. A rechargeable battery backup keeps this system working up to 6 hours per charge, based on the patient’s weight.
In addition to prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers in wheelchairs, the 9700CAF is used extensively in recliners for those receiving dialysis or chemotherapy to prevent pressure ulcers and improve comfort during the long treatments. The 9700CAF fits most Lazy Boy Recliners, Geri-Chairs and Lift Chairs

I purchased the alternating pressure wheelchair cushion for my father. He uses a wheelchair during the day, spends hours in his recliner and goes to dialysis for 5- 6 hours. This cushion goes everywhere with my father! It has made such a difference in his life. His pressure ulcers are healed and he is always comfortable. Talked to Jeff, he answered my questions. I purchased the Chair Air cushion for my son who is quadriplegic. My son had a stage IV ulcer with infection and insurance refused to cover his cushion. He is rather tall so I requested a longer cushion. I contacted Jeff. He was knowledgable, and caring. The stock cushion is 18 x 16 but he told me that he was able to arrange for the manufacturer to make a custom cushion. Since the cushion is made in the US, they were able to make a the cushion in just a few days. Amazing service and amazing product. My son loves the cushion.
