Falls are the leading cause of injury-related visits to emergency departments. Falls account for 70 percent of accidental deaths in persons 75 years of age and older. More than 90 percent of hip fractures occur as a result of falls, with most of these fractures occurring in persons over 70 years of age. Approximately 9,500 deaths in older Americans are associated with falls each year.
Our folding fall mats help to prevent injury due to falls from bed. The mats are made from a fire-retardant high-compression PPF™ polyurethane foam and covered in a medical grade vinyl cover. A non skid bottom helps to keep the fall mat in place by the side of the bed.
The fall mats can be ordered as a bi-fold or tri-fold and in 2" and 3" thicknesses.
