9700GRLB-4401 is the first alternating pressure recliner overlay developed to Prevent & Treat Stages I-IV Bed Sores And Pain in any manufacturer's Home Recliners and Lift Chairs. Ideal for those who sit or sleep in their recliner, have difficulty repositioning, are at higher risk for developing pressure sores, or have a pressure ulcer.
RECLINER CUSHION FOR THE PREVENTION & TREATMENT OF BED SORES
Pressure ulcers are painful, present an opportunity for a dangerous infection to occur, and are very costly to treat. Alternating pressure low air loss is the therapy most recommended for healing and prevention of reoccurrence. The cushion utilizes the same alternating pressure low air loss therapy used in hospitals to prevent or treat pressure injuries. Our overlay is recommended by healthcare professionals across the US.
The 9700GRLB-4401 is for the prevention and treatment of stages I - IV pressure ulcers. The unique alternating pressure recliner overlay is ideal for patients who are at higher risk for developing pressure sores or who have already developed a pressure ulcer. Made especially for those who spend an extended amount of time or sleep in a home recliner, lift chair. or a high-backed wheelchair. The 9700GRLB-4401 Alternating Pressure with Low Air Loss Lazy Boy Recliner Overlay fits most existing home recliners and lift chairs to create a therapeutic seating surface.
Pressure ulcers can occur when the interface pressure between the skin and the seating surface prevents proper blood flow. The alternating pressure therapy provides pressure relief every 10 minutes and improves blood flow to the skin. Twenty alternating pressure 3.75" bladders (four low air loss bladders) gently alternate to lower interface pressures and comfortably support the patient. The bladders are of varying sizes to contour to the body and provide proper full-body comfort, pressure redistribution, and support where it is needed most. The 9700GRLB-4401 alternating pressure recliner mattress system includes a hospital-grade pump with adjustable comfort settings.

Cover:
The 9700GRLB-4401 is covered in Vyvex-III™, a low shear, zippered multi-stretch, moisture/vapor permeable top cover, non-skid bottom. The cover is anti-microbial and can easily be wiped clean. The cover is quilted for maximum comfort. Cover meets stringent California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire retardancy.
Patient Safety:
The 9700GRLB-4401 features adjustable safety straps at the head, center and foot that keep the pad securely in place.
OPTIONS
Optional Portable Pump:
The optional portable AC/DC Pump allows your patient to be totally mobile. A rechargeable lithium ion battery backup keeps this system working up to 10 hours per charge, based on the patient’s weight.
Optional Back Pad:
Proper seated position in a recliner is essential for pain relief and skin protection. The optional back pad can help those 5' 9" and under achieve a better seated position. Often for those 5' 9" and under, the construction of most home recliners and lift chairs makes it difficult to achieve a proper seated position, Available in 2", 3" or 4", the pad is constructed of a Certi-PUR-US certified PPF medical grade foam with a poly cover. The back pad mounts onto the back cushion of the recliner. The alternating pressure recliner cushion is installed on top of the back cushion.
Optional Extended Warranty:
The optional extended warranty, extends the manufacturer's one year warranty for an additional year on the bladders and pump. This provides 2 years of manufacturer's warranty on the bladders and pump against mechanical failure and manufacturers defects.

Q. Can you sleep on the overlay?
A. Absolutely. The pad was developed for 24/7 use.
Q. Is there a cover?
A. Yes, the overlay features a low shear, low friction anti-microbial, anti-bacterial cover.
Q. How do you clean the cover?
A. Use a 10 part water to 1 part bleach mixture in a spray bottle. Spray down, wipe off, wipe with warm water and wipe dry.
You may also use a bleach wipe. NO ALCOHOL BASED WIPES.
Q. Is the pump quiet?
A. Yes, the hospital-grade pump is whisper quiet.
Q. Will this fit in my recliner?
A. The pad is a universal fit for all manufacturers. Most home recliners and lift chairs are 22" between the arms. Call us to discuss chairs that are wider or smaller. We can customize the cushion
Q. Will the pad fall out of the chair?
A. NO. There are adjustable straps at the head, center, and foot to hold the pad securely to the recliner. The pad will not fall or slide off the recliner

I am buying a replacement for one of these (exact same) pressure mattresses I bought 12 years ago--it doesn't seem to have changed at all and that makes me very happy. It has worked every day over the last 12 years like a work horse, and doesn't look one day worse for wear. It still works perfectly well--as well as it did the day we turned it on. The only reason I am replacing it is that it is 12 years old and I can't believe any motor can last much longer. I don't want my mom to be even one day without this wonderful invention. So, even though it is expensive to initially purchase, after 12 years, it has cost me about $0.30/day and my mother's skin is perfect. Again, it is still going strong.
